KBR Alpine Super Combined Slalom – Results & Photos

Congratulations to Individual winners Sapper Euan Kick and Corporal Rachel Hughes (First place, Army and RAF), Midshipman James French and Squadron Leader Caitlin Wroe (Second place, Navy and RAF), and to Corporal Gary Smith and Lieutenant Scarlett Geering  (Third place, RAF and Army), and of course a huge thank you to our race sponsor KBR, and to Nathan Horseman of KBR for presenting the prizes.

The competition invites those from across the 3 services, after they have competed in their service specific competitions in the weeks before. These photos show the Super G Slalom, part of the KBR combined slalom event. Where riders must pass between tightly packed gates testing their carving ability. ISSSC 2017 Photographs of the Inter Services Snow Sports Championships (ISSSC). The competition invites those from across the 3 services, after they have competed in their service specific competitions in the weeks before. The competition relies on volunteers and charity donations predominately from the UK Armed Forces Winter Sports Association and receives no public funding. Winter sports promotes team building and develops physical and moral courage, self-discipline and fitness in a challenging environment. In these images: Alpine Super Combined Slalom In what is a very quick race, competitors ski around tight gates in a demanding course to obtain a good run. With a rolling podium, previous competitors either place or get knocked off the podium by faster skiers. Please Credit Photographer.
