A new location

This year, the British Alpine Championships were held in Santa Caterina, Italy, as a trial location for GB Snowsport. If successful, the event may return here in future years. For the first time since before the pandemic, every event has been able to run, thanks to excellent work from the hill team, coaches, and athletes.

Downhill

On Sunday, two Downhill races took place. Sapper Elizabeth Knox and AS1 Georgina Davis delivered impressive results in their first FIS races, finishing 25th and 26th overall respectively, and placing 6th and 7th among British females.

Among the men, Fg Off Ollie Weeks produced a standout performance, finishing 13th overall and narrowly missing the British podium by one hundredth of a second, placing 4th among British males.

Super G

The Super G races on Monday and Tuesday were held in challenging conditions, with Knox and Davis again leading the headlines by finishing as the 5th and 6th British females. All athletes completed their runs and scored FIS points.

The first technical race took place today, with Fg Off Ollie Weeks skiing into the top 30 after the first run—an achievement that allowed him to start first on the second run with a cleaner course.
