This is Smarter Technologies’ first year sponsoring the UK Armed Forces Winter Sports Association, and we’re delighted to be involved.
As the child of an Army family myself, the military holds a special significance, and it is a privilege to ‘give something back’ to those who commit so fully to the defence of our nation and way of life.
Through our support of competitive military sport, we recognise the skill, dedication and discipline that characterises our Armed Forces as they strive restlessly to excel and achieve their goals.
These are values and qualities we hold dear in Smarter Technologies too. The high- performing and transformative digital services we provide to central Government through our Visionist brand reflect our devotion to excellence; and innovative IoT applications, such as our Orion real-time data network, exemplify the pioneering spirit behind the location-tracking, status and condition-monitoring and detect-and-cue solutions used by each of the Services.
We wish the competitors in this year’s races – Alpine, Bobsleigh, Cresta, Luge, Nordic, Snowboard, Skeleton and Telemark – the best of luck, and we look forward to building our relationship with the UKAFWSA, working together to drive digital innovation for Defence.
